Athlete's foot is cause by fungi(primarily, Trichophyton rebrum). Improvement in the appearance of athlete foot- affected skin will be achieved by controlling the growth of these fungi. MOIYA contains a mixture of calcium carbonate(CaCO3),calcium oxide(CaO) and calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH)2),which are mixed with de-inoized water. MOIYA solution is know to have very basic character (pH12.5), and contains potent hydroxyl radicals.
MOIYA controls the growth of the fungi that cause athlete's foot by the following mechanisms.
1. MOIYA creates a thin layer of calcium hydro carbonate over the top layer of the skin, there by preventing the fungi from access to their food, Keratin (a structural protein of skin)
